Partnering with the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), through its project development solution, InfraCo, is a milestone achievement for Afresco, combining our on-the-ground innovation with their institutional strength to deliver transformative renewable projects.
Together we ensure that projects are developed to the highest standards. From conceptualization to a financeable investment opportunity and ultimately a proven, operational business, PIDG plays a pivotal role in bringing projects to life. PIDG is an innovative infrastructure project developer and investor which mobilises private investment in sustainable and inclusive infrastructure in sub-Saharan Africa and south and southeast Asia.
Since 2002, PIDG has supported 258 infrastructure projects to financial close, which provided an estimated 232 million people with access to new or improved infrastructure. PIDG is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and Sweden, and Global Affairs Canada.
PIDG’s investment in Afresco reflects the strong alignment of our vision and purpose. This relationship continues to grow and strengthen with each step we take together.
